Propolis
Propolis is our favorite "hive product" because is very useful and is very funny to get, without harming no bees, we place a special net during warm season to let them seal it, so the Propolis we collect is very pure and it presents like brownish crystals. Unfortunately we cannot extract a big amount of it, because also bees need Propolis to preserve their hives.
This little brown resin is really mind blowing, many researches have discovered the great beneficial properties, a source of minerals and vitamines, it proves to be an excellent anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant as well as its use for sore throats and colds is now widespread. Another curious use is as a protective "paint", it is said that the well-known Antonio Stradivari invented a formula with Propolis to paint his instruments!
Pollen

One of the reasons why bees are essential for our world is precisely the collection of pollen, in fact, it is thanks to their tireless journey from flower to flower that the pollination of plants can take place!
Harvesting can take place all year round from many different plants, in fact, inside the hive it can be found stored in different colors depending on the origin, even creating splendid color combinations!
We can collect it with a pollen trap, placed at the entrance of the hive, to enter it, the bees must pass through openings that cause the excess pollen to fall into a drawer located below, but don't worry, if the trap is placed at the moment of large influx, the withdrawal does not damage the hive.
BeesWax
This hive product is the basis of a family, the Bees use it for the construction of honeycombs, created by transforming nectar, it seems that to obtain 1 kg of nectar you need 9-12 kg of nectar! Beeswax can be obtained in small quantities through various methods, we obtain our wax from the uncapping of honeycombs supers, because it is the purest wax, but sometimes there is not enough of it and often to help the Bees, the beekeeper uses so-called wax sheets to give a basis for the construction, the ones we use are certified Organic, so that there are no residues of any kind and the Bees can work peacefully.
The properties of Beeswax are so numerous that this precious substance is still used today in various sectors. Among the best known are cosmetics (for creams, ointments, etc.), polishing / protecting furniture and floors or making candles. But in recent years it is being rediscovered as an alternative to plastic for food, in fact, thanks to its properties, it is able to preserve them in the optimal way...it is no coincidence that many are also using it for the creation of food bags or wrappers as well than for long aging of Salami, Prosciutti and Cheeses!
